Announcement: The Discovery Museum is now able to provide a room for physical meetings to take place and we have held our first meetup already with people in the room and others joining via Zoom. We plan to operate these hybrid meeting until further notice. If you wish to join in the Zoom meetings please subscribe to our mailing list (link below) to receive details nearer the time.

Meetings are informal drop ins and occur between 12 noon and around 3pm on the first Saturday of each month. The venue is in the Discovery Museum on Blandford Street, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 4JA. We are usually in either the Mauritania or Carpathia rooms, which are on the ground floor near the archives section. It's best to ask a staff member where the Linux User Group meeting is, as this can change at short notice. Entry is free and free WiFi is available (GoDigital). All are welcome. Note that there is no meeting in January when we generally organise a meal later in the month instead.

Our next meeting will be on Saturday 4th of June 2022. This will be held in person at our usual venue at the Discovery Museum and via a Zoom meeting for those who are unable to attend.

If you have attended the group in the past, we are original members but didn't have control of the group's web site or mailing list for a while and neither were being maintained. Meetings have been continuing as normal however.
